Management of Inappropriate Behavior
The coaching staff is responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all swimmers. The following progressive discipline steps may be applied for behaviors including, but not limited to: unsafe or disruptive actions, rowdy behavior, disrespectful or foul language, disobedience, or belligerence. Discipline will generally follow this progression, though the coaching staff reserves the right to adjust steps based on the severity of the behavior:
1. Verbal Warning
2. Removal from Practice Swimmer sits out for the remainder of practice; parents are notified.
3. Removal from Practice and Parent Meeting A meeting will be scheduled with parents/guardians and coaching staff.
4. Suspension or Dismissal from the Team
