Megan Henry coaches the 7–9, 11–12, and 13–18 age groups. She swam competitively through college and brings extensive coaching experience, including Division I programs, CCA, Roseville Sugarbears, and serving as Director at Rocklin Swim Team. Megan holds a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sports Psychology and Exercise Science, and has spent 30 years working in aquatics, including 22 years with the City of Roseville. Outside of coaching, she enjoys running and has logged over 2,000 miles in a single year, completing a marathon and several half marathons. She has 6 children, lives in Lincoln and is committed to offering quality aquatics programs in her community. A fun fact—she loves open water swimming, and her favorite candy is Sour Patch Watermelons!
Savannah Smiley is the Head Coach, working with the 6 & unders, 9-10's, and 15–18 age groups. She graduated from Twelve Bridges High School in 2025, where she swam varsity all four years, and now attends Sierra College. She will be transferring to University of North Carolina Greensboro in the fall. Savannah brings 11 years of swim experience and has been with the City of Lincoln for 3 years. Outside of coaching, she runs a side business in social media management and logo/website design. A fun fact—she’s a D1 concert go-er and her favorite candy is Mike & Ikes!
Jesse Miller coaches the 7–8, 11–12, and 13–14 age groups, bringing 5 years of swim experience to the team. He completes his schooling through the Atlas program and has been working with the City of Lincoln for 3 years. Outside of the pool, Jesse also participates in fencing. A fun fact—Jesse placed fifth in the 100 backstroke at a National Paralympic swimming competition in Idaho. His favorite candy is Reese’s!
Thalia Fech coaches with the Lincoln Lightning Swim Team and brings 7 years of swim experience and 2 years of experience working in aquatics with the City of Lincoln. She swims for Lincoln High School and has played violin since she was 9 years old. Outside of the pool, Thalia enjoys creating art. A fun fact—Thalia won her first art competition at just 8 years old and has continued creating art ever since! Her favorite candy is 100 Grand.
Avery Azevedo coaches the 6 & under age group, bringing 8 years of swim experience to the team. She attends Twelve Bridges High School and is in her first year working in aquatics with the City of Lincoln. Avery’s favorite stroke is breaststroke. Outside of the pool, she enjoys reading and painting. A fun fact—Avery has 23 chickens! Her favorite candy is Skittles.
Josh Solinsky coaches the 6 & Under and 9–10 age groups with the Lincoln Lightning Swim Team and brings 4 years of swim experience, including year-round swimming, to the team. He attends Twelve Bridges High School and is in his first year working with the City of Lincoln. Outside of the pool, Josh enjoys dirt biking, volleyball, golf, and hanging out with friends. A fun fact—Josh has a cat without a tail! His favorite candy is Trolli or Kit-Kat.
Aliyah Leinenweber coaches all age groups, bringing 2 years of swim experience to the team. She attends South Sutter High School and is in her first year working in aquatics with the City of Lincoln. Outside of the pool, Aliyah also plays water polo. A fun fact—Aliyah loves going to the beach and spending time with her family. Her favorite candy is sour peach rings.
Yaiza Farias coaches all age groups with the Lincoln Lightning Swim Team and brings 10 years of swim experience and 1 season of experience working in aquatics to the team. She is a senior at Twelve Bridges High School and loves to swim and share her passion for the sport with our swimmers. A fun fact—Yaiza’s favorite color is pink! Her favorite candy is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Ella Noriega coaches the 6 & Under group and helps out with all of the age groups with the Lincoln Lightning Swim Team and brings 4 years of swim experience to the team. She attends Twelve Bridges High School and has been working with the City of Lincoln for 2 years. Outside of the pool, Ella enjoys sewing and crafting. A fun fact—Ella discovered her love for swimming right here on the Lincoln Lightning Swim Team! Her favorite candy is sour candy.
Ruby Costanza coaches with the Lincoln Lightning Swim Team and brings 2 years of high school swim experience and 1 year of experience working in aquatics to the team. She swims for Twelve Bridges High School and enjoys spending her time outside of the pool exploring nature and going hiking. Ruby is also a big fan of Dutch Bros! A fun fact—when she’s not swimming or hiking, you can probably find her enjoying her favorite candy, Twin Snakes or Peach Rings!
Madison coaches all age groups with the Lincoln Lightning Swim Team and brings 6 years of year-round and high school swim experience to the team. She is a junior at Lincoln High School and is excited to be working with the City of Lincoln for her first year! Outside of the pool, Madison enjoys paddleboarding and hiking. A fun fact—her favorite swimming stroke is butterfly, and she has a pet turtle! Her favorite candy is Kit-Kat!
