Happy Sunday, Everyone! 

I wanted to take a moment to congratulate all of you on a successful first home meet yesterday. With the hard work of our team and the incredible support from Auburn, we pulled it off! Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and expertise to make the day such a success.

Swimmers 

Thank you to all of our swimmers who have been working so hard in the pool. There was great focus and great attitudes yesterday. It was great seeing you have fun and put everything into some really tight races. 

Parent Board 

Thank you to our Parent Board for meeting last week and providing ideas, feedback, and suggestions that helped make the meet a success. Your support and partnership are invaluable. Thank you to Stacey Davidson for bringing in Chicks on Wheels and setting up the coffee station. Those fries kept us fueled and in great spirits throughout the day! Thank you to Malena Worthing for coordinating and organizing all of our amazing volunteers and timers. Your efforts make these meets possible, and we truly appreciate everything you do. 

Parents and Volunteers 

Thank you to everyone who volunteered. I know it is hard to sign up for something new that you have never done before, and we appreciate you so much. And thank you all of our parents who got swimmers up, fed, packed, and to the pool bright and early—not just yesterday, but every practice and meet morning. You accomplish more before 7:00 a.m. than most people do in an entire day, and we appreciate all that you do. 

Behind the Scenes 

A special thank you to Issaam Maalouf and Kristi Sunde for learning, operating, and troubleshooting our new timing system. They have put in countless hours at our previous meets, shadowing other teams and working behind the scenes with Time Drops and SwimTopia. We also could not have run the meet without Jenna from Auburn, who rolled up her sleeves and jumped in and truly made it a team effort. Thank you to Zerrick from Auburn for helping start the meet and for training our new starters, Jenna Rhoades and Josh Tomlinson, who both did an outstanding job. And thank you to Janie McCallister for being a great announcer and keeping the mood upbeat with your silly jokes. A huge thank you as well to Joe from Auburn, who made two trips back to Auburn for starter parts after ours began smoking at 9:00 p.m. on Friday night and our backup setup failed at the beginning of the meet. 

Coaches and Staff 

Thank you to Coach Savannah for her organization, preparation, leadership, and guidance of our coaching and aquatics staff. She is an exceptional planner and organizer, and her hard work played a huge role in making this meet run so smoothly. Thank you to all of our amazing coaches and aquatics staff that came in and filled positions. They are a truly amazing group of young people. You kept the kids happy and went above and beyond. Yesterday was truly a team effort, and it showed. Thank you all for stepping up, supporting one another, and helping create a successful and memorable first home meet. We have a lot to be proud of!
