Good afternoon Lincoln Lightning Parents,

We are so excited to host our FIRST Lincoln Lightning Home Meet this weekend vs Auburn on 6/13/26!

I am reaching out early as we still have a few volunteer roles that need to be filled to support the success of the meet. As a reminder of what was communicated on Parent Information Night - each family is required to have one family member volunteer for a shift during the meets their athlete is swimming in. This is also communicated in the Swim Team Handbook (attached), which was sent to each parent who signed up an athlete(s). Your support in volunteering will ensure your athletes have a successful meet! 

Please see the attached list of those who have already signed up (THANK YOU!) and the positions that need to be filled:

• Team Parent Roles:
  • 7-8 Boys
  • 13-18 Swimmers
  • This role is responsible for supporting organizing the age groups under the age-group tents and ensuring these athletes are set to head to the ready-bench for their events
  • Parents - please ensure your athletes are staying close to the age-group tents and are ready for their event. This was challenging at our last swim meet ensuring our athletes were ready for each of their specific events.
• 1st Shift (Events 1-44):
  • Stroke & Turn (2 Needed) - this is a great position for those that want to be up close to the action!
  • Starter (1) - in charge of "Swimmers, take your mark..."
• 2nd Shift (Events 45-Close):
  • Stroke & Turn (2 Needed) - this is a great position for those that want to be up close to the action!
  • Starter (1) - in charge of "Swimmers, take your mark..."
  • Announcer (1) - in charge of announcing names of athletes after heat start
  • Timer (1)
